Drum Lessons At
Rattle & Drum
Why play Drums?
Become the beating heart of the music by learning to play drums at Rattle & Drum! Whether you are new to the instrument or an experienced player our drum teachers will help you achieve your drumming and musical goals. Sharing a wealth of experience between them our teachers offer a holistic approach to the instrument, teaching technique at the heart of everything, and encouraging creativity throughout your musical journey. We teach a wide variety of styles, from pop to metal, drum & bass to reggae, jazz to dubstep and everything in between!
Is it suitable for me?
We welcome beginners of all ages, but we recommend the youngest age to learn is 6 years old. You don't need a drum kit to start, just a pair of sticks and the will to learn! You'll be dropping rock beats by the end of your first lesson, and playing full songs within a few months. Your learning of technique is accompanied at all stages by practical applications in real songs by artists such as Arctic Monkeys, Mark Ronson, The Beatles and Rage Against The Machine.
For more experienced players we can help you further develop your skills, and learn new styles and techniques, or just work out those grooves you've always wanted to learn!
Why choose Rattle & Drum?
All of our teachers are experienced musicians teaching professionally, comfortable with teaching children and adults alike and all are DBS checked and fully insured.
We have a dedicated teaching studio in Derby City Centre where we teach hundreds of students every week. We use the Trinity College London Rock & Pop syllabus with most of our students; it is a great path to learn the instrument and many students choose to study for grades, but this is not essential and you can set your own individual goals with your teacher if you prefer.
We are currently running an introductory offer of 4 one-on-one lessons for £30 so there has never been a better time to give it a go! If you would like to enquire about availability or require any further information please visit our Derby shop, call 01332 341414, email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact us using this form.
